With a furry daughter of my own, I know just how special the bond between pet and her/his pet  family can be. By capturing your pet's personality in paint or colored pencil, I hope to preserve and cherish that connection in your heart and on your wall. Here is what Wrigley's family had to say about his immortalization:

"This custom portrait turned out so incredibly lifelike, it blew us all away. It was a Christmas present for my husband and was by far his favorite gift received - he is still raving about it. The way this artist captures her subjects is nothing short of amazing! She was also incredibly easy to work with and excellent with communication. I would recommend this [artist] in a heartbeat!"

Typically, pet portraits are created using colored pencil on wood. (Wrigley and Mika, pictured above) Occasionally, folks prefer or a creature simply calls for another style. Two other options are acrylic on canvas board (Hido) or colored pencil on shaded paper (Julip). Keep in mind that pieces created on wood are shipped ready-to-hang, while pieces on canvas or paper will require frames.

I am definitely interested in helping you with portraits of your four-legged family members! Folks interested in pet portraits should contact me directly at

Typically, I request a minimum of 4-5 photos of pets and work to select one that holds the most connection for me. In special cases, I will come visit you and your furry friend and take photos myself. Finished pieces on wood range from $75-$325 depending on size. Pieces are delivered with mounting hardware fastened and finished with a matte fixative. Custom purchases are completed through Etsy, where all major credit cards are accepted.
